It’s fresh, vibrant, positively thrumping with sappy cherry fruit. The grip is there but perfectly balanced with the a classy spiciness.
Made from 60-year-old plus vines, most of which are in the trendy Swartland region. About 30% stems are used in the fermentation and the wine receives a sort of Ripasso treatment as the wine is run over the skins again at the end. The wine spends 3 months in old French oak before bottling.
